Kosher Supervision
Hevron Heights Winery is produced under the strict supervision of leading rabbinical authorities, ensuring the highest standards of kosher certification, including certification for Passover according to both Sephardic and Ashkenazic traditions.
Rabbinical supervisors oversee every stage of production, from the harvest of the grapes in the vineyard through fermentation, aging, and bottling. A permanent superviser – mashgiach – is present throughout the process, including during the wine’s maturation in barrel, guaranteeing complete traceability and full compliance with Halachic requirements.
The Separation of Tithes
Our wines are also certified Vegan, as no additives or fining agents of animal origin are used. The wines of Hevron Heights are the pure expression of the grape and only the grapes of the land from which they come.
Each year, the rabbinical authorities gather at the winery to perform the traditional separation of tithes (terumot ve’ma’aserot), fulfilling the ancient commandments connected to the produce of the Land of Israel. In the absence of the Temple, the portion designated for sacred use is respectfully set aside according to Halachic practice.
Through these traditions, the wines of Hevron Heights remain deeply connected to the spiritual heritage of the Thorah given by The Almighty to our Master Moses.
